Clear Edge Compact Filter Elements in nuclear power plants

Company ESR is specialized in the production of individual extraction and dedusting systems. The suitable separation system is selected taking into account the type and quantity of substances to be separated. The physical and chemical properties as well as the respective physical state are of utmost importance. In addition ot the series devices, systems specially developed are also built, to meet customer requirements. Furthermore, the conversion and refurbishment of old systemss is also offered.

Challenge

The dismantling of nuclear power plant produces carcinogenic cement dust, which must be extracted. The dismantling of a nuclear power plant takes place from the inside to the outside. First, the more radioactively contaminated parts of the plant in the controlled area are dismantled in order to reduce the radiation exposure for the personell as far as possible. The reactor components are crushed under water. This shields the radiation and prevents the release of dust into the air.
