A concrete pump is used for conveying concrete. These pumps are used during the construction of buildings, bridges or barrages. Concrete with a particle size up to 63 millimeter can be pumped. Concrete pumps are normally double piston pumps, which are operated hydraulically by oil pumps with electric and diesel engines. The conveying pistons are connected hydraulically by drive cylinders and operate in a push-pull arrangement.
One of Filtration Group Industrial’s customers is a manufacturer of concrete pumps. In addition, machines for conveying, distributing, preparing, temporarily storing and processing concrete, mortar and thick materials are produced.
Concrete pumps work with high delivery pressures up to 130 bar at a flow rate up to 200 m³/h. The concrete pumps are operated hydraulically. For a trouble-free operation of the hydraulic system, the used oil must be free from particles in order to ensure a continuous and reliable operation of equipment. The FG filter components have therefore to achieve a defined cleanliness class for the hydraulic oil as well as defined dirt holding capacity (ß-value).
