FG Hydraulic filters in mobile cranes / KE 2900

Almost every function in a mobile crane is hydraulically-powered. Clean hydraulic oil is essential for a workflow without interruptions especially in the steering hydraulics,

the hydraulic suspension of the axes and the basic crane hydraulic.

Cranes with more than 125 tons load weight are separated into the top and the bottom carriage. In the top carriage you are only able to operate the crane hydraulics detached from the rest of the hydraulic system.

Challenge

In the top carriage two large-scale pumps are implemented with a flow volume of 450 l/min. In the worst case more than 900 l/min can reflow trough the differential cylinders into the tank. Both return flow pipes should be equipped with easily accessible magnetic cores. These magnetic cores are an indicator for damages. The return line filter should be based on a modular design and, if necessary, able to handle a flow of 1500 l/min.

Solution statement

  • The new KE 2900 fulfills all of these requirements
  • Two return connections for both of the pump circuits and two magnet cores working as injury indicators
  • Thanks to the usage of DIN-Elements with open end caps, the box can be reconstructed trough the replacement of the NG 1000 with a NG 1500
  • Due to the improved outlet tube, the filter bowl can be stabilized at the box of the filter bowl or at the outlet tube to prevent the suction of air, when spillage occurs
