FG Dust filter cartridges for use in stone crushers

One of Filtration Group Industrial’s customers is a global company and one of the top 10 industrial companies in Scandinavia. In one of its divisions, it is a leading manufacturer of products used in mining and construction. These include mobile rock crushers. These are used in mining and road construction to destroy and crush rocks and stone formations. Since this stone processing produces many small stones as well as rock dust, this highly aggressive rock dust must be extracted and the air cleaned. Otherwise, there would be severe damage to machinery, equipment and health hazards to the operators. Filtration Group Industrial uses filter elements of type 852 625 Ti 15-0.8 for this application.

Challenge

Filtration Group Industrial dust filter elements with open convolution for the extraction of rock dust with very high dust loading. Due to the work of rock crushers in the open air as well as in tunnels or underground, the dust to be extracted is very aggressive and humid due to dew point undershoots. There is a risk of filter damage due to sometimes sharp-edged small stones. The cleaning pressures can also vary greatly due to the mobile technology. Filtration Group dust filter elements provide high mechanical strength to ensure optimum use of the mobile equipment.

Solution statement

Filtration Group Industrial has chosen cylindrical filter elements with an open pleat for this application, as there is a very high dust loading here
