Factory Equipment Machine Tools

Central systems on machine tools

Central systems for use on machine tools must meet a variety of requirements and face various challenges. This applies to both the handling of small to very small particles from the material removal and the tools, which are often used in 3-shift operation, as well as the filtration of different materials, which often have to be combined in the same coolant processing system.

In addition, these systems must constantly deal with temperature loads and at the same time meet the highest requirements for the purity and temperature resistance of the cooling lubricant. When using cooling emulsion, oil entry can also be important, which must be removed using effective oil separators. All of these aspects present both customers and suppliers with a variety of parameters and application criteria that need to be taken into account.

Belki filter system BFA

Challenge

The Belki Group from Denmark and its German partner, Belki Filtertechnik GmbH, have built a worldwide reputation as a leading provider and manufacturer of filter systems and oil separators for many decades. Their central systems also enjoy an excellent reputation for quality and performance.

Belki central systems are designed exclusively according to the specific requirements of customers. Starting from a fundamental concept, central systems are designed and built that are both efficient, environmentally friendly and meet economic requirements. This is the only way to optimally address the often highly specialized needs and challenges in companies.

DEEP TECHNICAL UNDERSTANDING

This approach requires in-depth technical understanding and expertise in dealing with the process media used, such as grinding oil or aqueous cooling lubricant emulsions. Dosing, cooling, oil separation, particle filtration, degassing, redundancies and much more form the basis on which the experts build their individual solutions. The focus is on the optimal handling of these process media, followed by relieving employees in the production areas of tasks related to media care as well as clear and simple operation of the systems. The emphasis on optimal accessibility is particularly well received.

CUSTOMIZED SOLUTIONS

If necessary, central systems can also be adapted to the specific structural conditions. Belki specializes in developing and producing additional equipment such as pump-back stations, collecting basins, inlet cascades, etc. quickly and efficiently in order to be optimally positioned.

Duplex filter Pi 370 from Filtration Group Industrial

Solution statement

  • The modular BFA filter system from Belki was developed to filter cooling lubricants from machining processes.
  • The filter system is flexibly configurable and can be equipped with various components such as magnetic filters, high-pressure pumps, oil separators and coolers as required.

HOW THE BFA FILTER SYSTEM WORKS

  • In its basic configuration, the filter system for a customer from the Lower Franconia area consists of a BELKI deep-bed belt filter and an emulsion tank with a tank volume of 1,600 liters.
  • Pumps, magnetic filters and other components can be added according to customer requirements.
  • The pumps are activated via the machine control, and the pressure setting of the screw spindle pumps can be continuously regulated.
  • Additional extensions such as oil separators, coolers and magnetic filters are possible and are particularly effective when processing cast iron.
  • A double switching filter Pi 370 from Filtration Group Industrial takes on the function of the police filter for supplying the sensitive IKZ flushing of the processing center.
  • The filter is equipped with wire mesh filter elements with a fineness of 25 µm.

Customer value

  • Continuous filtration of the cooling lubricant offers numerous advantages in terms of quality, reliability and working environment. The modular design of the Belki filter system allows it to be adapted to individual customer requirements.
  • It is also possible to subsequently expand the equipment to meet changing needs over the life of the machine or changes in the production process.
  • Arranging filters, pumps, etc. on a steel frame with lifting eyes makes assembly and cleaning of the filter system much easier.
  • All components can be assembled in an elevator without the need to separate pipes or wires.
  • This saves the customer time and simplifies the maintenance process.
  • The long-term availability and efficiency of systems is the key to high productivity. Thanks to the FILCOM logistics concept, the FG double switching filter could be delivered quickly to Belki Filtertechnik.

INFO

Both companies see the collaboration between FILCOM GmbH and Belki Filtertechnik as a great advantage in promoting processes together and always being a step ahead of developments.
