With the i.Comp 8/9 Tower, KAESER presents a highly efficient complete solution that integrates a piston compressor and compressed air treatment with refrigeration dryer and optional filters in a robust housing. This fully-fledged compressed air station is based on two compressed air tanks, each with a capacity of 40 liters.
VARIATION IS ITS STRENGTH
The i.Comp 8/9 from KAESER impresses with its innovative drive concept and appears in a robust, compact and needs-based design. Under the rotation-sintered PE hood is an oil-free piston compressor with a speed-controlled motor that always delivers exactly the required amount of compressed air. The i.Comp TOWER T models integrate the compressor block, compressed air tank, refrigeration dryer and the SIGMA CONTROL 2 control system in a ready-to-connect housing system. This configuration makes them the ideal choice for craft businesses, industries, workshops and laboratories.
The single-stage, oil-free piston compressor delivers up to 570 l/min at a pressure of up to 11 bar. Thanks to the speed of the motor, it is particularly adaptable. The compact compressed air station impresses with its first-class workmanship “Made in Germany”. The sound-insulating polyethylene cover is robust, impact-resistant and durable.
A piston compressor at room volume? With a maximum sound pressure level of 65.7 dB(A), the i.Comp 8/9 is exceptionally quiet. This is achieved by the compressor’s extremely smooth running and the sound-insulating PE cover. In addition, the compressor block is completely oil-free. The i.Comp TOWER T versions deliver constantly dry compressed air with a pressure dew point of +3°C, with the condensate that accumulates being reliably drained away.
The i.Comp 8/9 works particularly efficiently in all load phases. The greatly reduced switching operations relieve the compressed air line and minimize energy losses. In addition, the compact powerhouse offers significantly better specific performance compared to conventional piston compressors.
The standard i.Comp CONTROL (aggregate / TOWER) ensures reliable and economical operation. With the optional SIGMA CONTROL 2 control system (standard in the TOWER T), the i.Comp 8/9 is network-capable and can be connected to the higher-level SIGMA AIR MANAGER 4.0 control system.
The i.Comp 8/9 is a real long-distance runner due to its unlimited switching frequency. It remains powerful even at ambient temperatures of up to 45 °C and a duty cycle of 100%. A powerful fan and the optimized cooling air flow reduce the operating temperature of the compressor, ensuring continuous operation. Temperature monitoring in the compressor motor reliably protects against overload.
Thanks to its compact dimensions, the powerful i.Comp 8/9 TOWER T requires less than 1 m² of floor space. The rotation-sintered PE cover can be easily opened, allowing for easy servicing.
The core of the new KAESER i.Comp series is the innovative drive concept, which offers numerous advantages. The compact complete compressed air station is designed according to the plug-and-play principle and only requires a power connection and connection to the compressed air network. The KAESER i.Comp CONTROL adjusts the compressor speed precisely to the required pressure. This can be conveniently set using the arrow keys on the control unit. Maintenance and service intervals are displayed. Thanks to the clear symbol language, the i.Comp CONTROL is easy and intuitive to use.
The intelligent KAESER SIGMA CONTROL 2 controller allows the pressure to be set precisely. The SIGMA NETWORK enables all information to be transmitted to the central control unit. Software updates can be installed quickly and easily via the SD card slot.
Today, modern higher-level controls should do much more than just enable compressors to be used as needed. Efficiency is becoming increasingly important. That is why KAESER has developed the SIGMA AIR MANAGER 4.0, which uses a patented, simulation-based optimization process. This process analyzes compressed air consumption as well as plant and system behavior and proactively makes the most efficient switching actions based on the technical conditions.
Instead of just reacting, action is taken. The goal is to achieve the lowest costs for compressed air generation through intelligent, energy-saving switching strategies – no longer just through a narrow pressure band. The SAM 4.0 supports up to 30 languages and offers a user-friendly 12-inch color touchscreen display that shows at a glance whether the system is working efficiently. Operating states, pressure curves, volume flow and performance as well as maintenance and fault messages are displayed and analyzed in real time.
COMPRESSOR BLOCK
To ensure the highest quality, KAESER manufactures the piston compressor blocks itself. Particularly high-quality materials are used, and all components are manufactured, tested and assembled with the utmost care. The result is an extremely durable, oil-free compressor block that offers high delivery volumes and cost-effectiveness. bietet.
Thanks to excellent air flow and extremely effective cylinder cooling, the compressor blocks are characterized by minimal wear and high efficiency. DRIVE MOTOR
The KAESER i.Comp 8/9 is equipped with a powerful external rotor motor and integrated control electronics. With an efficiency of around 90%, it works particularly efficiently. A volt-hertz frequency converter adjusts the speed to the current compressed air demand.
Optimizing the motor and compressor performance reduces the load on the mechanical and electronic components and thus significantly minimizes wear. The soft start protects the network, the motor and the mechanical transmission elements from overload.
SOUND INSULATION
The sound-insulating housing made of polyethylene ensures that the KAESER i.Comp 8/9 is pleasantly quiet. A sophisticated air flow system – with a 180 ° deflection in the supply air duct and an exhaust air cushion – offers effective sound insulation. The decoupling of the compressor and the PE hood reliably reduces the noise level, which enables problem-free installation directly at the workplace.
